Blackjack Switch
All the rules of Blackjack Switch are based on the traditional game but with some differences like:
- In this variant 6 to 8 decks are usually used.
- Each player must bet two equal amounts; one for each hand dealt by the dealer.
- The dealer deals 2 hands instead of just one, which are dealt face up.
Assuming the dealer has a natural blackjack, all other players lose. However, if the player has a natural blackjack, this will result in a draw.
Players are allowed to do a classic manoeuvre, known as swapping cards between hands, if they so choose. Note that this manoeuvre only applies to the second card that was dealt to the player.
- A player may double down on any 2 cards.
- A player is also allowed to double down after a ‘Split’.
- A player may choose to split again, up to 4 hands.
- If a player has a natural blackjack, the bet will pay 1:1.
Assuming the dealer gets a 22, this will result in a draw against any player with a total of 21 or less. A player with a blackjack, however, will have a win even if the dealer gets a 22.
